​McHenry County Mental Health Board works to lead and contract for quality behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disability prevention and services in McHenry County. This board works to plan programs of community mental health services and facilities, consults with others to provide the most efficient delivery, and review/evaluate community mental health services and their facilities.

Community Connections Summit: Addressing the Loneliness Epidemic

Focus: The impact of connection and empathy have the power to transform the world. The absence of connection and empathy lead to isolation, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and suicide. By recognizing the importance of creating safe spaces where individuals can feel heard, validated, and understood, empathy becomes a guiding principle, fostering resilience and healing. The power of connection, rooted in empathy, extends beyond words; it is a beacon of hope that bridges the gap between pain and healing, paving the way for meaningful and lasting connections.
Target audience: includes professionals from all domains of the community, mental health professionals, substance misuse treatment professionals, school professionals, community leaders, clergy, service organizations, etc.
